ICCF, Rarities
Champion Bel Monte Roma

I would like to introduce the newest member of the Godiva clan Champion Bel Monte Romana (Roma) Roma is currently one of the top ranked bitches in the country. We feel extremely fortunate to have gotten her. I have had my eye on her since the first time I saw her as a 3month old puppy being show under me in an ICCF Specialty show with ARBA in NJ a couple of years ago. I have followed her brief career with great interest as I always thought she would be an outstanding Cane Corso bitch. As fate would have it I got the opportunity to buy her. Her owners Ewa Winn and Judith Gustofson knew of my great admiration for Roma and graciously allowed me to buy her knowing that I would provide her with a good home and I could do great things with her in the future. Ewa and Judith provided me with a start as Roma was already and ICCF Champion and pointed with Rarities. The first thing we did was finish her with Rarities and she is already well on her way towards an ICCF Title. Roma has been under many FCI Cane Corso judges and done quite well for herself at Mollosarstock she won “Best of Opposite” all three shows with some very difficult competiton.

As a juvenile she took yet another “Best of Opposite” at the CCMCC Specialty show under ENCI Cane Corso judge Nicola Imbimbo in Toronto Canada. Roma is a typical bitch with good movement and structure. She has been judged numerous times as “Excellent” by ENCI and FCI mollosar specialist. She is just shy of her second birthday and developing nicely. Her OFA pre-lim evaluation is “FAIR” Look for her to finish her ARBA Championship this fall.

Already comparisons are being made to her great Grand Champion kennel mate Diva, but as I tell people she has a long way to go before she should be mentioned with Diva, but she is well on her way. We have some issues to workout in the show ring (just like Astro a year earlier) and then plan on making a run for ICCF bitch of the year in 2004 and a possible entry in the World show in Brazil. Roma will be bred this December to a as of yet undecided stud.
